'Caden', The First 3D Printed Movie, Comes to Indiegogo Seeking Funding

Caden is a movie by London based screenwriters Amanda Mesaikos and Susanne Aichele, who wanted to create a story about the effects technology has in the household. They took it to a very high tech level with the story of a young boy who 3D prints a copy of himself as a companion. The storyline follows how his 3D printing adventure affects the household and the rest of the family. This movie is special and multi-faceted in its unique qualities due to the fact that the public is invited to submit their ideas for 3D designs for props and effects, and once those have been chosen, the winning submissions will be available for free downloading by the public from iMakr.com. A film called 'Caden' tried to launch via Indiegogo late last year, and though it did not reach its £15,000 funding goal before ending on January 7, 2015, the team at Random Cat Pictures continued work on the film, written and directed by Susanne Aichele and Amanda Mesaikos. Renamed 'Caleb,' the film has now progressed. Random Cat Pictures has uploaded a trailer for the film online--and we can all get a first look at what happens if a lonely 9-year-old boy in 2044 London were to 3D print his own replica.
