Z18 or other Gen 5 -- printing without a raft

just curious if anyone has had success printing without a raft on their Z18 or Gen 5
and if so, what are you doing to the build plate?

I told my tech guy to swap the tape. You have to experiment to see which paint tape works best with your makerbot. Not all PLA filaments will adhere the same than a different brand.
You can try to use frogtape and see if something happens.

I will give painters tape a try on Friday (i have a 36 hour print going)
has anyone tried hair spray on the build tray?

I'm using the mini and have successfully been able to print a handful of prints without rafts... when i choose to do that I carefully watch the first few layers
