    conversion question

    hi,

    how do i convert a txt based stl file to a graphical file that i can import into netfab to edit (ie cut in half so i can print it without support), then into makerware to print.

    Add Geoff on Thingiverse
    You don't convert it, Right click, save As and give it an STL extension, that should work..

    I saw that a while ago on a reprap forum .. hang on...

    Thanks Geoff,

    Copied and pasted the txt into wordpad, saved on the desktop as filename.stl imported into netfabb (app, not web service) and there is the 3D editable model.

    you sir are a genius.

    edit: now following you on thingiverse, JHilton if you find me.
