We've seen 3D printing come to the aid of the visually impaired in the past. The technology is making major strides in allowing blind people to be able to "visualize" different objects by the sense of touch. This coming weekend in Japan is the IBSA Blind Football World Championships, and a player on the Japanese team was provided with a 3D printed model of the Championship venue. While it probably won't provide much of an advantage, it still allow him to envision what those watching the game will be seeing.
