Cross-sectional design

Does any one know any software that can help generate different cross-sectional designs of a FDM-produt, such as hexagonal structure?
It is very hard to design the inter structure of a product which is solid in CAD model.

Netfabb can do that -filling inside a "shell" with a light matrix of interconnected structures - but you have to purchase the expensive Pro version if you want that functionality. http://www.netfabb.com/structures.php
