Students formed research teams at the Bartlett School of Architecture’s RC4 in London, to create their own 3D printing robots to address design challenges in architecture being posed by new technology. The 3D printing robots were created to work efficiently, bypassing steps such as using mesh, contouring, and slicing. Because of their efficient design, they were able to stay in continuous motion and materials dried in the air, as they worked on 3D designed and printed projects from the bottom up.
