    Predator movie prop Mask

    Well, took me a while to get my printer calibrated well enough, but finally managed to print one of these out, quite impressive for only 2 pieces.. Now i need to sand and paint, will post a pic when its done

    Just White ABS, I don't print alot of PLA, it smells a bit funny.

    Hehe, I love the smell of freshly burned PLA in the morning ;o) I have no idea how ABS smells btw...

    when I first used the machine it smelt like burning plastic, but after it cured melting ABS doesnt smell at all.

    nice faux finish again geoff. as far as the model goes, how is the size? did you scale it at all and is the size you printed it in an actual life size piece that would be wearable? would it need to be scaled up or down at all?

    This one is just slightly down from life size, but you can still wear it, the eye holes are adult size. The next one will be a full scale version that I try, I am making a new mesh of my own to print, the one I found on thingiverse was great but so many vertex dips, it took alot of sanding (especially the forehead) so If I do a 1:1 scale it will be need to be alot smoother to start with because I couldn't be stuffed sanding and gap filling as much as I had to on this one.
