Microsoft Turns The Kinect into 3D Scanner, Adds Drivers to Windows 8.1

Some interesting news coming out of the Maker Faire this week from Microsoft. The largest software company in the world will be adding support for 3d printing in Windows 8.1. Also they show off how to turn the Kinect device into a 3D scanner. Seems like Microsoft thinks 3D printing will be mainstream within a couple years.

Every now and then, technology evolves and innovates and I can say that gadgets and devices are already some of the necessities nowadays. There is no doubt about that. In fact, we use cellphones, computers, etc. in our daily living, right? Let me share what I've read a while ago. Its says that Microsoft's Kinect was intended to be the next big thing on the subject of input devices for your computer. But as it turns out, a 3-D motion controller called the Leap Motion may be even more exciting. Have you heard about this? Oh, by the way, thanks for this interesting thread. Nice topic to put on a table.
