I haven't printed before but have a printer and some files that are ready to print.

For the last couple of days where I live, the sky has been gray, it's rained on & off, and the ground doesn't get a chance to really dry off between rainfalls. And we're entering a season in which it will be like this a lot for the next few months.

If my print job takes an hour, is that long enough to ruin the spool while it's hanging on the printer in the open air? What if my print job takes all day? Should I wait and print on a sunny day? Or is this only a problem if I leave the filament exposed on a shelf for weeks/months before using it up? I can put my spools in a big Ziploc bag for storage between print jobs, but I don't have a way to enclose the spool while it's being used by the printer.
