    Cant fix extruder knocking sound

I have a knocking sound from extruder stepper. No matter what I do I couldnt fix it. I remove the filament, I change the stepper motor, I changed stepper driver, I changed stepper connection port on mainboard nothing helped. Any advice ?As I understooed, extruder stepper is making tiny and sudden retractions on direction change of nozzle while printing. That knocking sound comes from that little retraction moments. It is not effecting print quality but very disturbing and loudAny advice ?Please see video.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0e6t03v2_G4

I am having the same issue, Pretty sure the problem is not your extruder, but your hot end, or bowden tube - could be a slicer issue with feed rate too high, temp too low, or retraction distance. Mine is significantly worse, as my prints fail. I have not had a successful print in 2 weeks, and I've lost count of attempts. Started my own thread here in this section.

It is neither related hotend nor extruder. It is a firmware issue. The only solution I found is; on LCD there is a parameter named "Advance K factor" under "tune" menu. If you lower K factor to 0 sound disappears.
