    so instead of just changing the heater cartridge.
    You're going to change the entire hotend assembly ?

    Or just use the cartridge that comes with the hotend assembly ?

    I'm still of the opinion that it is still a Firmware issues everything thing else feels like fairies at the bottom of the garden but then I've been wrong before so it would not be the first time.

    I ordered a heater cartridge with new thermister, heater, heater block, Thoat pipe, heat sink, boden tube. Whole assembly except for the fans. These assemblu is due in Monday. If this doesnt work then the SKR 1.4 board going in. the firmware file on a micrSD card that came with printer is useless. I used same MicroSD card to transfer gcodes from computer to printer in the begining. Plus the stock board not having a bootloader < i dont want to have to purchase something else just to load firmeware.

    wELL THE NEW HOT END ARRIVED YESTERDAY I thought I'd install today and now no matter what temp set nozzle for I get this message All new wires, didnt change anything on new hot end NO MATTTER WHAT I SET NOZZLE TEMP FOR 200,60 , or even 20, I get that message GRRRRRRRR

    It would appear from your last post that you didn't have a screw loose, either between the ears or in the heater block, but rather a screw too-tight! Good find.
