Gold filaments do not look gold at all. They all look brown to me.

i havent seen consumer grade metal yet. some sort of conductive material would be useful for electronics projects

Affordable ones! But really, metal based materials. Not only for conductivity, but also for strength.

there are many good ideas posted. most however are specialty type filaments. from a business standpoint the niche filaments arent going to be huge sellers. pet on the other hand one day will eventually take the place of abs. its the future as far as a workhorse type filament. problem is very few companies are producing it so prices are high. i do see many companies are catching on though. just got some samples of some new stuff at maker faire. 3dxtech should really look into this. the colorfabb xt opaques which are petg are awesome.
