Anyone recommend a good opensource utility for time lapse web cam recording ?

    that's pretty much it really.

I've tried chronolapse - just seemed to take one pic and then repeat the same pic a thouand or so times. Zero print progression. Weird.
So is there anything better out there ?

Failing that I'll work out a bracket and use my 3ds - that takes great time lapse - in 3d too boot. But only 640x480 resolution. Think the webcam goes a bit higher.

Speeding up a video to similate time lapse

Curious - is this what you are looking for?

If so, it is easy with a standard video and Windows Movie Maker - there is an option under Video Tools / Edit that allows you to speed things up. Works rather well.

cheers guys - hadn't actually thought of just speeding the video up lol

Time lapse does give you a different 'feel' video clip though.

I'll try both methods (damn, you need more emoticons on this forum) thumbsup.gif
