What will win out? Resin or Filament?
To me, Resin doesn't seem like the future of 3D printing, so I try and avoid printing in resin at all costs. Does anyone think Resin could possibly win out in the long run?

With our current technology, it doesn't seem likely that resin will be the permanent choice for very long if at all.
It just can't be laid out the same way that filament can...

It likely depends on what you mean by the "future of 3D printing". Resin-based 3D printers have high levels of precision while filament-based 3D printers support simultaneous material use. For prototypes meant for traditional manufacturing, resin-based printing could be advantageous; for customized manufacturing, I'd expect to see more filament-based printers.
