Smile Looking for a printer to suit my folks gift shop! (Australia)

    Hey guys,

Ive spent a few weeks looking into all printers great and small looking for something to help my parents gift shop get a little snaz and get some cool 3D printed gifts on the shelves.

Im thinking about printing some imitations of local historical buildings and landmarks and was looking for some recommendations for my purpose.

Here are the landmarks/buildings I hope to break into the 3D printing world with...

Im thinking we will paint them and put them on some great local jarrah wooden bases.

I'm mainly interested how these models might translate best to either particular mediums. Im thinking about maybe getting a cheapish fused deposition printer like the Up2 or would I be better off going for something like a DLP printer.

Im thinking we will be painting the models, and I wonder how some people are managing to get photo realistic painting on their prints? some fancy method now doubt!

I'm concerned if ABS is dangerous to inhale, or weather its worth the risks over PLC and weather perhaps which would be most appropriate for my intended builds.

Thanks for any advice, and I hope to show the community my progress in the future!

Only the rock would be easy on a filament machine. And painting would be as with any part.
