Safety Rules for Using a Sewing Machine
Sewing is not as safe as it seems to be. Every task has some do’s and don’ts that you have to follow. Even if you use a basic sewing machine, it can still be unsafe. You may encounter any unfortunate incident using it. A beginner is more likely to come across a problem during sewing. There are more and more chances of risk when you use an advanced form of the sewing machine.
Here we share some key points that you have to keep in mind. They will make the process of sewing safer and way better. Remember to go through them before you get into sewing!
Take Care of the Needle Stabs

While sewing, you may take your hand close to the foot press. Whether you stitch on a beginner sewing machine or any advanced model, the foot press has a needle right above it. You may encounter an accidental stab if you are not careful. There has to be a proper distance from the sewing needle. You can have a cover for the finger and thumb. These covers protect the hand from such injuries. You are more at risk if you are using an automated machine. It moves so fast that you cannot retract your hand quickly.
    Always Use Compatible Needles
Fine fabric requires a fine sewing needle to stitch it. A thick sewing needle can make a visible hole in the cloth. It can also tear the fabric, making it look worn out. It is the foremost thing to buy a compatible needle for your sewing project that you wish to accomplish on your sewing machine for beginners. Moreover, the same rule goes for thick fabric. Thick cloth like wool or denim can make a fine needle break.
    Switch Off While Leaving
If you are using an electric sewing machine, you have to stop for a second. Now you must ponder over the risk of electrocution. You have to remember to turn off the electric sewing machine before leaving. It can be hazardous for kids present around it. A good beginner sewing machine always comes with a user guide to help users read all the necessary instructions.
Another hazard can be that of damaging the sewing machine. It can happen if the electricity sparks. To prevent it, you have to be attentive.
Threads from spools should not tangle
Spools and bobbins are very crucial for sewing. They carry threads that become loose while using. They can tangle up together and make it problematic for you. An easy sewing machine offers a box with some divisions for organizing various tools.
    Clean after oiling and servicing

Servicing is essential for the better performance of sewing machines. You may have to oil it from time to time. After every such action, you should clean the machine; even the best sewing machine for beginners demands the same process. If you do not clean it, it can stain your clothes and affect your performance.

depending on what type of printer, there are different design constraints.

theoretically you can print any shape or design, if you use supports for the parts that would oterwise be printed in mid air.

In reaity the type of machine will - to a greater or lesser degree - effect what you can and can't print.

For example - sls, or binderjet machines that deal with models created within a cube of bonded powder - can be any shape, but you generally need to make sure the design will let un bound powder be removed.

Resin printers can create unsupported parts that fdm can't.
Belt printers will print shapes without supports that normal fdm machines can't unless they use supports.

A dual extruder machine can print shapes and use water soluble supports - so you just swirl it round a sink of warm water to remove the supports.

I would argue against choosing a brand and instead just go for the individual printer that best suits your needs.

(I will reiterate that if any company wants to give me lots of money to recommend their brands - I am a realist and open to bribery :-)
