SLA vs FFF - Which is typically faster?

Can someone answer this for me. Is SLA or FFF typically the faster process? I'm talking about 3D printers we would have in our homes (sub $5,000), not big industrial level machines.

FDM unless you're building something with large surface areas on each layer. The lasering itself doesn't usually take that long, but in-between each layers can. You would also generally print in smaller layer thicknesses with SLA.

Cleaning also takes far longer with SLA.

You sacrifice the speed and extra material costs for far higher quality prints however.
