[Newbie] Help assembling the model

I like the design. I would taper the top edge a little, then give a rounded area to allow a smooth transition into the half round area.Kind of a tapered S curve into the locked half round seat.

Thanks. I appreciate it. I think I get the idea. Is this on the right track - I am looking for ways to smooth the surfaces next.
