This is quite remarkable. You all know how many video games from Doom to Wolfenstein, to Red Dawn, to Call of Duty, all use a third person perspective for their game play. Well, one company called mepi is trying to create this same perspective in real life. They used 3D printing in large apart during the design of the device which places a camera above, and slightly behind a person, and then relays that video to the person's headset, such as an Oculus Rift VR device. The full story can be read here, and also a video is incuded: http://3dprint.com/7410/third-person-perspective/

Would any of you guys use such a device? What real world applications could a third person perspective have? Perhaps military operations? What are your thoughts? Here is a quick look at what the mepi device looks like.
