Interesting way to restore ABS color post print

This is really an interesting video that shows how to restore ABS color. I would have never had guessed that they would have worked.

Has anyone tried this method or another similar method before?

We flame polish waxes and plastics at work. A flame from a lighter will leave soot on some plastics or if you just leave it there too long. Acrylic is usually HHO flame polished for this reason. We tend to use blow torches as it burns cleaner. Sandblasting the part first leaves a nice consistent matt finish and removes layer lines, gives a different look and feel.

I just use a cigarette lighter (the jet lighter types) makes white spots dissapear like magic.

Brainscan, what media do you use to sandblast the parts with?
