Fastest 3D Printer - Under $4000

Does anyone know which 3D printer is the fastest out there? Are FDM or SLA printers faster? I really need something that can print items as fast as possible (I know nothing is very fast, but the faster the better), for a project I'm working on with some colleagues.

Then DLP should be your thing. Process wise it is the one most directed at speed : you do a layer, notre a toolpath. Depending on shape and precision required you might find better ways for specific situations but it is the best all around solution for your request.

Definitely if you have $4,000 to spend, I'd suggest getting some sort of SLA printer. Your quality will be a lot better. Speed wise I don't know if it would be the absolute fastest, but it shouldn't be any slower than an FFF printer. May I ask what you plan on printing?
