When students in Heather Calabro's ninth grade class learned they were doing a project about WWII they were enticed by the promise that the work they performed would be very different from a typical history assignment. Each student was asked to research a particular event that occurred during WWII and then to understand that event through the eyes of a historical figure who played a prominent role. After writing an essay and creating a video, the students were then asked to create a 3D printed artifact that represented their chosen event. Each artifact was assigned a QR code that could be scanned in order to connect it to the student's essay and video. The projects were then assembled, in chronological order, to form a 3D printed biographical timeline. Read more about the project here: http://3dprint.com/84251/3d-print-wwii/
