How Ford is Using 3D Printing in a Big Way
Ford, one of the most, recognizable companies in the world, recently revealed the extent of their 3D printing manufacturing and rapid prototyping methods. The company is using 3D printers to prototype parts on pretty much every vehicle they sell. In one Michigan plant alone they churn out over 20,000 3D printed parts annually. As the technology progresses, Ford expects to expand their use of 3D printing, as it saves them a huge amount of time and expense. What would take 16 weeks to get done with traditional prototyping methods now takes them a day. More details on Ford's use of 3D printing can be found here: http://3dprint.com/5318/ford-3d-printing/
Also check out the video Ford has released below as well. It's quite interesting:

Not your run of the mill reprap then.
Why do video makers think that musical diarrhoea improves their presentations. It's the same on TV and in supermarkets. It drives me nuts.

OK, so that guy is clearing the dust off a part without a respirator? That just strikes me as a bad idea.
Do bed magnets deteriorate.
