    3D Printing Soft Fishing Bait

This is an old video, but I found it very fun to watch. They are actually 3D printing fishing bait. You know the soft rubbery bait you use when you go fishing, in place of real live bait? Pretty cool.

I wonder what type of printer they are using.

Interesting. It appears that they are just using caulk as their filament. Seems like a homemade 3d printer to me. The problem with fault is that it won't dry fast enough to be able to go up too many layers. For this application though it works perfect.

I think that it would be a good idea to insert a Pause command (or manually pause the print) after a few layers had been put down, then lay the hook onto the print, and resume the printing. This would embed the hook in the object so you wouldn't have to damage it later trying to insert the hook into the finished print.

Anyone want to guess what paper they are printing on? I think it might be baking paper (stolen from an unsuspecting wife's cooking cupboard!)

    OME
