    Mimics Innovation Suite Updated By Materialise

    Materialise just announced a fairly large update to their Mimics Innovation Suite. The software suite is directed towards the medical field and has several key new additions to it.

    One of these additions is the ability to turn X-Rays into 3D models, which can then be used to analyze a patient's condition. They have also included a Pulmonary module which allows doctors to get a more accurate 3D rendering of a patients lungs.     Software is going to play a huge role in the way in which the 3d printing and scanning markets develop. Just one also development could change the speed in which the technology is being adopted. Someone will make a lot of money creating just the right application for 3d printing.
