Japanese researchers have created a new kind of robot that operates on an innovative cooling system. Because they had packed so many components into the robot with a 3D printed metal frame, they were forced to come up with a way to cool Kengoro, the bio-inspired humanoid. Due to the varying degrees of permeability in the robot, they could create water channels for ‘sweating.’ The robot runs on one half cup of deionized water for a half day, and can do pushups for 11 minutes straight.
