    Wonder what Ultimaker has been up to with all these other printers on the market now

    I haven't seen much about them lately.

    last year they launched - I think - three new models. a small one a larger one and an upgraded standard one.

    so they're probably selling those :-)

    But there are a lot of printers around in similiar price categories now, so sales figures would be interesting to see.

    Ultimaker is doing well - the large majority of professional designers I know opts for them.
    They have a great product, I feel they need to stick to what they have and just extend their model range - a smaller one 6" build size for beginners, under $500, and a larger model for professionals with a 8"x12" build plate and 3 or 4 extruders, opening up the possibility to 3D print larger and complex items like shoes.
