How to seperate different materials into seperate files

I have a model which will be printed in nylon and certain parts in acrylic.

The printers have told me that in order to print using different materials, i need to send them 2 different files for each material, so i was wondering how to do that.

Did you model the part yourself? If not, you have to separate the parts out by cutting them away or separating them. Shoot me the file I'll take a look at it for you. 3dprintingmax@gmail.com
