Russell Singer of MAKEiT, Inc. recently started a blog on which he offers 3D printing tips and projects. His first is a very specific one: a 3D printed, wood-finished knob for the manual gear shift in his Mini Cooper. While Singer's process is a bit tricky, involving multiple printer settings and encapsulated hardware, the result is beautiful to look at and certainly worth the challenge.
