I got this sent to me in an email the other day at work. Not sure exactly where to put this in the forum, but here we go.

A Dutch designer has come up with an open source means of recycling your plastic into various things, most notably 3D printer filament. I figured that might be something you would all like to see. If he is any kind of proper designer this should result in a somewhat reliable means of recycling and extruding your own filaments.

From the article:
'The highly compressed kit downloads quickly and contains 154 files in all. “This provides all the basic information people need to build their own machines and start a little plastic factory, anywhere in the world,”'

His page is also linked to in this article. I haven't yet had the time to go download the package and see what it's all about, but the couple of machines in the images look promising to my injection molder eyes.
