After several years in the works and a modest amount of hoopla on the way, the MASSIVit 3D 1800 printer is finally going to be on full display as the team offer the first public demonstration of the machine. This will be happening at drupa 2016, to be held in Düsseldorf, Germany from May 31-June 10. This is a major print media show, known mostly for highlighting the 2D. This technology is meant for increasing business in marketing, however, and should be an exciting option for those still limited to 2D to explore as it offers so much more in terms of making large format visuals. The printer is already famous for being able to print items like statues up to six feet (in as little as five hours) and operating at ultra-high speeds up to 1,000 mm / 39 inch per sec.
