New Gcreate Printer... first print Lines

Just got my new Gmax 1.5xt+ so naturally I wanna get it going quickly.

    IMG_2853.jpg

So my first print after working on the ABL etc was this tower in the picture.
16 layer lines, 508 total layers.. super repeatable.
Need to figure out why this is happening any help is appreciated.
when you scrape a fingernail across the part, they are protruded slightly, you can feel them.

    normal settings in S3D
    .2 layer height
    150% first layer
    205c
    blue PLA
    60mm/s

any help would be greatly appreciated.

    150% first layer ?
    ????????????????????

First layer is usually 90% - I've changed mine to 100.

But having a 0.3mm first layer on a 0.2mm print does seem a bit odd.

so every 6.35mm it over extrudes.

Either that or the z-drop is ever so slightly less than it should be and every 6.35mm the bead gets squashed.

And congrats on the machine :-)
Had a look, pricey, but great looking bit of kit.

Nah, 0.35 is actually the default base layer if you are printing at 0.2mm slicing with Slic3r. I use 0.3 base and 0.2 on pretty much every delta printer, only for reason they don't have a heated bed so you need a bit of help on the first layer.

I think maybe in this case the Z drop is the cause too, It could possibly even be a bent threaded rod, as it would make sense that every time it does a full rotation it shocks the bed sideways for that part of the rotation.

    OR

Since the Gcreate has two threaded rods like a Prusa, it's possible they are just not at the right rotation on each side..I would turn it off, use your fingers and turn both of the rods manually until you get them to sync up.

Geoff. What do u mean by sync them up? The cross beam is level. But I agree it's in he z steppers somehow.
Would love to know what u mean by syncing
