The September T. rex exhibit at the Naturalis Biodiversity Center will definitely be something to behold as they unveil their new acquisition, in the form of theTyrannosaurus rex dinosaur found in Montana several years ago. Over time, the museum has been responsible for seeing that nearly the entire skeleton was unearthed, and the few bones that they have not found have been re-created with the help (and great ease) of 3D scanning and 3D printing on an Ultimaker. The bones that were 3D printed will be painted a slightly different color so that visitors can see a little bit into the process that paleontologists went through in preparing the skeleton that was still missing several bones.
