Mauvis Ledford really ties together the making community with his cold casting project for the ‘Bearded Yell.’ After watching a video by Mold3D, he became interested in the project, and decided to use a 3D model by Thingiverse designer bedansie. While the first try did not yield the results he was looking for, Ledford put the project away for a few days and came back to it. His second try resulted in an amazing cold casted ‘Bearded Yell’ in iron, which he then airbrushed in black and burnished with steel wool to offer highlights in the color.
