When rescuers found an injured stork in the Latvian countryside, they weren't sure how to help him. His legs were badly hurt, and despite medical treatment and therapy, he was unable to stand or walk without pain. The bird's caretakers turned to 3D printer manufacturer Mass Portal, who developed a pair of complex 3D printed leg braces for the stork. After several designs and modifications, the stork now has perfectly fitting braces that allow him to stand and walk without much pain.
