Less than a month ago, we reported on a 3D printed robot that could solve a Rubik's Cube in just over one second. Now a German engineer, Albert Beer, claims he has broken that record with his Sub1 robot that solved the puzzle in 0.887 seconds. While the record has not been officially recognized by the people at Guinness World Records yet, Beer is confident that his creation is the fastest robot in the world for all of that Rubik's Cube solving craziness. One is left to wonder about how much faster these robots can get, and who will be the one to beat the Sub1's remarkable speed? Maybe another 3D printed bot?
