17-year-old Jake Reynolds went from crossing the street to awakening in a hospital with significant facial injuries, when he was struck by a car that was traveling approximately 30 miles per hour. The skin and muscle on the side of his face were stripped down to his molars and the bone around his eye socket was pulverized. Plastic surgeon Dr. Pablo Prichard used 3D printing to create a guide for the reconstruction of Reynold's face.
