    Best MakerBot for a school?

    I'm trying to convince my sons middle school to get a few MakerBot printer. What do you guys suggest are the best MakerBots for a school of 11, 12 and 13 year olds?

    Well, we teach classes for those grades with our Makerbot Replicator 2. We have a 2X now but dual extrusion is difficult even for the High School students.

    They don't work with the printer though, just designing things in Tinkercad that we print for them.


    I'm not sure what they would want to do with it but if they're on a budget then the Mini would be the choice for them when it's available.

    I'd think that the elementary schools might experiment by using the Mini's while middle and high school will probably go for the Replicators.

    I'm pretty sure that right now the standard for schools is the Replicator 2 or 2X. However, with the 5th generation coming out, I wonder if most schools will go with the Mini or stick to the Replicator.
