Hot End Scraping Bed

Hello everyone ! I recently decided to try out 3D printing as a hobby. Not knowing anything about 3D printing, I decided to buy a cheap printer to use until I gained enough experience in printing to justify buying a professional grade printer. I currently own a Printrbot Play 1505. I've been trying to print the test print ( a 3mm block) but every time I start the print, my Hot End dives into the bed. I run the bed leveling wizard, and my print starts out fine, but about 3 lines into the brim, the Hot End begins to sink into the bed. I did some research online and made the recommended tweaks, but that ended up making things worse. I really don't know how to troubleshoot or solve my current issue. Here is a video of my issue, and some pictures of my settings. If anyone could help me get on the right path, it would be greatly appreciated.

From looking at your YouTube video it looks like when you auto-homed the printer the nozzle touched the bed. Then when it continued to print the nozzle is actually touching the bed.

You need to avoid this. You need to adjust your Z-axis so that you can just fit a piece of paper in between the nozzle and the print bed. They shouldn't be touching.

Apart from that I couldn't see it starting the print job and then taking a dive into the bed after a few seconds?

@ 3dex ltd the video shows my current issue. Every time I adjust the auto leveling probe so that the extruder is within a papers width of the bed, the print starts out fine, then dives into the bed.

I was able to take a video of the issue that I originally described (the print starts out okay, but the hot end starts to dig into the bed)

Hi,
Your printer is equipped with a Z probe. Why don't you use it ? You need to include a G29 command after the G28 commands in your start script.

If the nozzle dives into the bed while performing the G29 command, it can be to 2 things :
1/ the Z offset you put is way off. Try putting it closer to 0 or positive. (M212 Z0 ; M501 ; M500)
2/ the Z probe is either partially unplugged or defective, replug it or contact support for a warranty replacement of the probe.

Also, have you performed the Z -offset adjustment as per the video on the website ?

Finally, are your hotend & probe correctly tightened ? If they wobble, they can mess stuff alright.

it's almost as though it's moving the bed up for each level rather than down.

Could that be a thing ?

I have not been able to contact Printrbo the Support yet, and I have no idea how to change my commands to use the z probe, I am brand new to printing
