formating SD card for replicator 2X - not reading

I bought some 1GB SD cards see below and they will not read propetly
the file you want to print will show on the printer screen but when you load the file
the printer does not start it just sits their. It will not go to the start position or start heating.
I can load the same file on an old sd card and everything works ok.
I am using windows 7 and here is a screenshot of my format setup.
what settings do I need to use?

if I try to format them fat32 it gives me an error and stops if I format them FAT and then 32 kilobytes it will complete and load the X3G file start but stop mid print
but if I use an old sd card I have no problems.
did i get a bad batch of cards.
