Google's Lunar XPRIZE Competition was introduced in 2007; now, it is less than two years from completion. The competition will award $30 million to the first privately funded team to land a rover on the moon, travel 500 meters, and send high definition images and video back to Earth. One of the teams in the running is Part Time Scientists, whose rover is almost completely 3D printed from titanium and aluminum. Sponsored by Audi, the team also hopes to construct a 3D printer that can print items on the moon using lunar soil. Read more at 3DPrint.com: http://3dprint.com/114760/part-time-scientists-audi/
