The military is calling on 3D printers once again. Now, they are establishing experimental 3D printing mini-labs on both the USS Harry Truman and the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge. Each mini fab lab has two 3D printers, a PC and accessories. Soldiers have been quite enthused about the program already, with items such as dust caps, a wrench, and even a custom solution for an ill-fitting oil cup meant for a funnel made just several weeks after deployment into the Middle East.
