A French company, Babines, is merging the old confectionery craft with new 3D printing technology via the lollipop. The lollipop forms are designed, modeled, and 3D printed. Then molds are made -- all in Paris. Next the molds are shipped out to a confectioner in the Loire, near St-Etienne, who hand pours the finished product. Babines invites custom orders, and the company is also viewing these lollipops as a potential niche advertising strategy for brand names. Who doesn't love a lollipop? I wonder how they taste...
