The New Makerbot replicator would allow for this but will cost you $2400.

There are several solid printers out there which cost less than that and will produce close to as nice final objects.

I would say to read a bit about each in the Printer section at this forum.

Thsnx fir the info, as for price I was thinking $3000 for a machine so it sounds like I'm in luck Then??

ideally I want a fabrication bed about 1.5m long,1m wide and a fabrication height if 600mm
this will allow for prototype front guards etc to be fabricated.

Umm, you're not going to be printing that size of thing in one go on any printer at that price. The largest sub-professional printer I've seen has a print volume of 24" (60.96cm) cubed and that one costs $4500. You need to break the model into subparts for printing then assemble it.

The only printers I'm aware of capable of directly printing on that scale are Voxeljet's VX2000 ans VX4000, which are high end professional units with prices in the "if you have to ask, you can't afford it" range.

Yeah, Normally Printing is meant as a refinement step with scale models, or small parts. Keep in mind a print the size of a fist can take almost 5 hours.

If you're heart set on something of that scale you're going to need something like this:

which i just asked for a quote so i'll let you know the figure in a bit
