How to make arduino power down with the machine. ramps 1.4

It's kinda annoying to have the arduino powered up when USB is plugged in and the main power off.

Any way to rewire or program that away.?

    Add printbus on Thingiverse
RAMPS plugs onto an Arduino MEGA2560 board. The MEGA2560 is designed to always power the Arduino (and RAMPS 5V) when the USB is connected to a source. One option is to cover the +5 contact in the USB cable (see DISABLING POWER FROM USB for an example of how I did it). If you have any extra 5V loads connected to RAMPS like a bed leveling servo, this can have ramifications so proceed at your own risk.
