Print failure question
Hello All,
I am VERY new to 3D printing. I have a Replicator V5 and have printed all of the sample items on the machine...they come out great! I have downloaded two items from thingverse to print...
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:226911
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8119
Both items started printing nicely and I left my office, upon returning to both prints I could see there was progress but then a whole spiders next of extruded filament. I'm going to try something else but as of now, I havent had a successful print from an outside (the machine) file. Is there anything I should be looking for when choosing and / or creating files to print!?
Thanks and I appreciate the help!
Pat

Hi there
That's becouse you print it in very unconveniant position.
You have a lot of "air" printing.
Try to rotate in upright.

you're downloading things that need to have printed support. And by the look of it, you don't have support selected or switched on.
That's the problem :-)

Haven't used makerware for a while. But the support options were fairly obvious. That said I used 2.3 not the newer versions. Usually an option to switch support on and off and one to choose which extruder you used.
Please explain to me how to...
