I'm missing a piece of circuitry

I would like some help regarding my MakerBot Replicator 2. It keeps having heating problems (#3 to be precise) and I think I've found the problem. I'm missing a piece of the circuitry, but I don't know what it is.

On the left is my MakerBot, on the right is what it's supposed to look like. I've circled the missing bit in red. I would highly appreciate some help. Thanks

I think that is a Speaker, for sound notification.
    (Certainly looks like one)
I tried to magnify the picture but was too low resolution.

If so , it would probably not effect heating.

What exactly do you mean by "Heating problems" ?

It loses temperature. It drops to about 190 - 200 and then stops the printing due to "heating error #3".

Okay, maybe Makerbot Support on-line could tell you what the #3 means ??

I would first suspect the Thermocouple-wires, going to extruder-nozzle-blocks from Motherboard.
    Those monitor temp at nozzles.

I think Makerbot is made same as CTC ?

There are 2 single-strand wires in each cable and they brake very easy,
usually at top of extruder assembly, where it is bent and flexed constantly when printing.

Continuity test (ohm meter) is needed to determine if they are damaged.

If that is the problem the Thermocouple wire will need to be replaced and a wire-guide modification needs to be added,
to keep it from happening again.
Thermocouples can be purchased at eBay, at very low cost.
Guide can be downloaded and printed from thingiverse
