Wink Filament-spool Holders for Everyone !

There must be Hundreds of different Spool Holder designs out there !

This is one of my favorites:
It has scissor-arms that allow them to be adjusted for various size and width of spools.
Also no need for expensive metal bearings in this one, has good printed bearings.
Has a filament guide slot, if your set-up requires that.
It can be downloaded from thingiverse.

A fully 3D-printable rotating stand for filament spools, designed to be easily made without the need for fasteners such as screws, nuts, shafts, glue, etc. Every single component in this spool holder comes right from your 3D printer's filament. The spool holder included an arm for filament guide tubes of both common sizes 1.75 mm and 3.0 mm. The arm also contains a pocket for inserting a piece of sponge which acts a a filament filter - thus keeping the filament clean and lubricated.

Yours look very functional ! What do the symbols on them indicate ?

Yes, I suppose I should have said favorite 'Extra spool holder',
other than primary ones mounted on printer. LOL

I use the holders that came with the printer usually, (those mounted thru backside of printer)
but sometimes I like an Extra external holder, to have a 3rd filament color ready when needed.
(done a few objects with 3 colors)

Spools with very small center hole won't fit the holders on printer, so that is main reason we need the extra holder.

This looks really cool. I haven't been able to find this on Thingiverse amongst all the spool holders out there. I searched under 'spool holder adjustable' ad a ton come back. Can you give some guidance on the location.

I am just a newb, but I think the benefits of a top mounted spool system outweigh any others. it has the least travel time to the extruder, the least ability to get tangled, it takes up vertical space only which anyone has, and you can easily feed it through a filter. that being said, I attempted designing my own spool holder specific to the Prusa i3 x - but I found a great design (not including a filter) on thingiverse, which I will probably test out. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:871223

I do have a number of other spool mounts saved in one of my collections on thingiverse. here are a few of my favorite universal spool mounts.
