Global tire manufacturer Michelin has teamed up with industrial engineering group Fives in order to create a new 50/50 joint venture company to be called Fives Michelin Additive Solutions. The JV, which will have 30 employees from the two parent partners, will be manufacturing metal 3D printers. With approximately $28 million in funding over the next three years, the JV will concentrate on global scale manufacturing and marketing of the industrial machines.
