After meeting at a series of conferences and 3D printing activities, four parents of children between the ages of 3 and 8 were interested in finding a way to help people engage in 3D printing as a family activity. After brainstorming, they developed the idea for 3D Roundhouse, a company dedicated to providing tutorials and workshops designed specifically for children and adults to work together. They currently offer a startup kit with over 40 videos teaching about the use of a variety of 3D modeling software and will be offering free workshops in New York at the September Maker Faire.
